On this episode of Aim Hometown Innovations Podcast, lawmakers offer insight on the first day of the 2019 General Assembly session. During this session, which is expected to run through April, lawmakers will write a new, two-year state budget. And they’ll weigh a series of proposals, including funding for the Indiana Department of Child Services and teacher pay. Aim staff asked lawmakers to give their take on issues important to local leaders and bills they plan to support as negotiations and hearings get underway.
