Helping a Struggling Area Reach its Potential – the 8Twelve Coalition

by Erin Jamison Koenig | Mar 16, 2018

Muncie’s 8Twelve Coalition is an example of public and private partners coming together to move a section of Muncie from despair to repair.  Work plans were created in the areas of business development, beautification, housing and access to services.  Hear how this exciting coalition is taking an area of 500 homes, with a $20,000 median income, and “creating a new and better ending story to neighborhood decline.”

Speakers:
Jena Ashby, Director of Impact and Programs, Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity
Rachael Goodspeed, Community Affairs Manager, Vectren Foundation
Mayor Dennis Tyler, Muncie
