Mayor Joshua Marsh of Greensburg Elected President of Statewide Mayors Group;

Michigan City Mayor Angela Nelson Deuitch Chosen as Vice-President

Indianapolis (August 14, 2025) – The Indiana Conference of Mayors (ICOM) is proud to announce the election of Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh as President of the organization. Alongside him, Michigan City Mayor Angela Nelson Deuitch has been elected Vice-President.

Mayor Marsh, who has served as Greensburg’s mayor since 2020, brings a strong track record of leadership and collaboration to his new statewide role. As president of ICOM, he will work with mayors across Indiana to advocate for policies that strengthen communities, improve infrastructure, and promote economic growth.

“I am honored to be selected by my fellow mayors to lead the Indiana Conference of Mayors,” said Mayor Marsh. “This organization is a vital resource for city leaders across the state. I look forward to working alongside Mayor Deuitch and our colleagues to ensure Indiana’s mayors have a strong voice against challenges that threaten to weaken our communities.”

Mayor Angela Nelson Deuitch, who in 2024 became the first African American woman elected mayor of Michigan City, will serve as vice-president of ICOM. She brings decades of community engagement and leadership experience to the role.

“It’s a privilege to help lead an organization that brings mayors together from every corner of Indiana,” said Mayor Deuitch. “Collaboration and shared problem-solving are how we will build stronger, more resilient cities for all Hoosiers.”

The Indiana Conference of Mayors, an affiliate group of Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (Aim), provides a forum for mayors to discuss local government issues, share best practices, and advocate for the economic engines of our state.
