When the Cities of Fishers and Noblesville and Hamilton County announced their intent to convert 9 miles of track to a trail, it presented an opportunity to engage the community in what they wanted to see along Fishers’ section. From student projects to public meetings, to a “feedback weekend” driven by fun events and interactive conversations, the outreach efforts drummed up over 1,500 ideas for the trail design. The result: a community-designed, world-class amenity for all.
