This workshop will cover the basics of development impact fees and exactions, including statutory requirements, and federal and state court precedent setting guidelines (and limits) on a local unit’s ability to levy the same. While legal case law will be the foundation for some of the workshop, the presenters will spend time discussing actual case facts and real scenarios, further illustrating items for consideration the next time a local unit wishes to require a developer impact fee or exaction.
