Black Municipal Officials Constituency Group
Our mission is to build a supportive community and amplify the voices of current and future Black municipal officials. Through education, strategic partnerships, and access to resources, we aim to give Black municipal officials the tools they need to be successful leaders that encourage and inspire more diversity in local government decision-making roles.
Black Municipal Officials Meeting
Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Eastern
Zoom / Virtual
Join our workshop for Black Municipal Officials on February 17! While originally scheduled to be in-person, it has now been moved to a virtual event. This half-day session will focus on housing, a significant challenge for municipalities. Experts from the public and private sector will share available tools to transform communities and overcome existing barriers, while municipal officials dive into the history of housing policy, best practices, and success stories. This event offers an opportunity to learn, share your visionary project ideas, and engage with fellow Black leaders on shared challenges and opportunities.
Unable to attend? A post-event recording will be available for purchase after the event. Please reach out to aim@aimindiana.org for more information.
