Aim takes a long-term, collaborative approach to our legislative efforts. We work closely with legislators on key initiatives to empower Indiana cities and towns to maximize quality of life for their citizens while attracting and retaining the world’s best companies and most talented workers. Our priorities focus on finding ways to make governance work better for the benefit of all Hoosiers.

Replace Don’t Erase is an ongoing effort to preserve funding for cities, towns, counties, schools, townships, and libraries at a level that allows these units to continue providing Hoosiers with the quality of life they expect and deserve. Once again, the Indiana General Assembly is considering several provisions that would eliminate a significant portion of the business personal property tax, acts that would eliminate millions of dollars from local governments and hinder their ability to provide services, infrastructure, public safety, and other improvements. Growing Indiana’s economy is about more than a checklist of business taxes.

We’re taking a longer term, more strategic approach to our legislative efforts than we historically have; this will enable us to collaborate more with you. Together, we can tackle major initiatives.
Aim Legislative Dinner
Gathering together each year with legislators to communicate about the great things happening in cities and towns is a must. Every year, we continue the tradition of convening together during the legislative session with a dinner for municipal leaders to connect with lawmakers.
