We’ve laid out a new vision that challenges our organization to become nimble and proactive. At the heart of that vision is a collaborative mindset – a mindset of becoming grassroots advocates who facilitate open discussions between legislators like you and our members.
You’ll see us getting out around the state more than we ever have before so that we can:
- Build relationships
- Enhance collaboration
- Facilitate engagement
Aim already hosts an annual Legislative Day and nearly 100 training sessions and workshops each year. We’re moving beyond the traditional panels and PowerPoint presentations to more engaging presentations in the style of TED talks.
Two of the biggest opportunities for you to network with Aim members are Legislative Day and our regional roundtables.
Aim Legislative Dinner
Meet with our members to discuss important issues at the Legislative Reception that takes place during this annual event. Legislative Day also gives our members a detailed briefing on all municipal-related bills moving through the legislative process, so you can add your own insights about what’s taking shape at the Statehouse.
Each year, we hit the road to talk with members about what’s going on in their communities. These regional roundtables are your chance to meet with municipal leaders from across your region; you can inform them about your efforts in Indianapolis, answer their questions, and address their specific concerns.
Stay tuned for information about the 2017 edition of our roundtables. In the meantime, you can contact Natalie Hurt, our Special Events & Conferences Director, at [email protected]g or 317-237-6200 x 223 to learn more about the role that you can play in your regional roundtable.
