Workshops

We host workshops throughout the year as part of our mission to educate and inform our members.  Aim workshops are designed to give you insights into the selected topic and provide you the opportunity to have discussions with your municipal peers.

2020 Budget e-Workshop

Recorded on Tuesday, April 28 & Wednesday, April 29

For decades, Aim has held a series of annual budget workshops all around the state. Just like they sound, these workshops are designed to assist all municipal officials in the preparation and review of your annual budget, and offer updates relevant to your community’s fiscal health.

This year, things are a little different. Having never helped educate city and town leaders during a global pandemic, we’ve had to toss out our game plans and look for a new approach! This year’s budget workshop will be coming to you via our web-based platform GoToWebinar, using their live video format.

We are excited to bring you the content you’re used to from the State Board of Accounts and our partners at Baker Tilly, in addition to some updates relative to the COVID-19 pandemic and how it could impact your budget cycle and fiscal well-being. Please look carefully at the schedule as you register.

The Budget Workshop will be held over a two-day period. Morning one will be dedicated to the State Board of Accounts and morning two will be quarterbacked by Baker Tilly and will focus on budgeting and options for bridging potential funding gaps.

If you missed the live workshop, recordings and copies of the presentations are available for purchase. Please email [email protected] for more information.
