On this episode of Aim Hometown Innovations Podcast, the Aim legislative team previews the 2019 General Assembly session. The session, which begins Jan. 3, is expected to be action packed with lawmakers writing a new, two-year state budget. Lawmakers also enter the session with new colleagues, amid shifts in leadership positions and committee chairs. Building off the success of historic infrastructure funding lawmakers passed in 2017, Aim will ask the General Assembly to create the concept of “investment hubs.” The legislation would allow communities to collaborate within regions and raise funds for transformative capital projects.
