Small Communities, CLE
Whether it is flooding, too little rain, or excessive temperatures, or changes to plant and animal species, Indiana communities are experiencing impacts from environmental changes happening in our state. IU’s Environmental Resilience Institute is developing tools and resources that locals can use to understand the impacts and their particular vulnerabilities and to prepare their communities to be resilient in the face of these challenges. This workshop will explain the resources available, which some communities are already using, and introduce a tool coming this fall-the Hoosier Resilience Index, which will provide cities and towns with specific tailored information about their own vulnerability and a guided set of worksheets to assess their own readiness.
