When you are wearing both hats of fiscal officer and human resources there are a lot of skills needed.  First: the fundamentals of HR accounting that help you make more effective and strategic hiring decisions.  Second: managing over time, compensatory time, and seasonal employees while ensuring the need of the departments match their budgets.  Third: training your employees well enough on cash handling, internal controls, and more, to make them good stewards of taxpayer funds.  This class will give clerks and clerk-treasurers more tools to develop accounting skills and strategic thinking to better manage your workforce.
