The call for greater accessibility to broadband for all Hoosier cities and towns is being heeded at all levels of government.  State and federal leaders are making more funds available and providing the expertise to help residents understand their options.  These resources do not replace the need for municipal leaders to have an advanced understanding of broadband and how it will help move their community forward.  It’s vital to understand the data behind broadband, including: what is considered “high speed”, where your community stands in terms of access and the available options, what business leaders are looking for as they grow, and the amount of investment needed and the expected return on such investment.   Having more knowledge on broadband will put you in the driver’s seat for future decision making!
